Cococure House (Coming Soon)

Years ago, It was a hot summer’s night when we arrived at The Double Club, funded by fashion house Prada and designed by installation artist Carsten Höller. I was there with my friends, not knowing I would experience a night at a venue we would never forget. As we walked into the Victorian warehouse in a mews behind Angel Tube Station, we were greeted by the cool and eclectic atmosphere of the nightclub-cum-restaurant-cum-art installation. The mix of upbeat African music from Congo and western dance beats created an electric buzz in the air. The unique decor, the out door space, part western and part Congolese, added to the allure of the venue.Looking back on that unforgettable night, I realize that The Double Club was more than just a venue, it was a melting pot of culture, art, and music, that created an experience like no other.

Years later, we as a group still long for that unforgettable experience that we had at The Double Club. This is why we’re excited to share that we have acquired and are currently refurbishing a new site to create Cococure House, our latest venture that’s set to become the go-to destination for luxury entertainment in a bustling and vibrant part of London with excellent transport links. Our new venue will be a collection of distinct spaces that cater to different needs. The dining room will be perfect for dining, drinking, entertainment and a sport lover’s paradise, while the outdoor garden will provide an ideal spot for day events in the glorious British summers. The nightclub above will be the ultimate destination for late-night partying.

At Cococure House, we draw inspiration from The Double Club, while at the same time, we seek to create a space that is uniquely ours. Our new venue is an ode to our previous experiences in running Cococure at Aldgate, as we bring to life the dream of transforming an art installation venue we visited in 2008 into a permanent venue in 2023. We’re passionate about creating an unforgettable experience that will capture the essence of the original while delivering a Cococure experience that’s all our own.
